Antariksh Update-3: "Red" Letter Day!

Ramesh Kumar from Greater Noida

Is the glass half empty? Or half full? Well, it depends on the viewer. A coin indeed has two sides. I faced such a dilemma on the evening of August first. On the one side was what Project Manager Mishraji conveyed about the status of Tower A and on the other was what I heard from the full-time resident-owners Yitish Jha & Achin  Kumar in the gap of 30 minutes.

During my interaction with Bishan Gulati of Antariksh, it emerged that Tower A has 148 flats. While Tower G is being occupied - three full-time residents and two residents who stay over weekends - the focus is getting Tower F and Tower A ready on a fast track. As it happened in the case of Tower G wherein buyers desirous of shifting - temporarily or permanently - from other Towers were being accommodated, a similar approach is being contemplated for Tower A  and F.  Simply put, Towers B, C and D are less likely to be completed soon.

Gulati indicated that occupants or those who have taken possession in Tower G have more or less paid 90%. None were issued the possession letters because the authorities are yet to issue the Completion Certificate pending inspection of various parameters as laid down in the policy framework.

It was proposed that two separate WA groups would be created for Tower A and Tower F at the last meeting with the builder but there is no sign as yet. Gulati clarified that such segregation has been done and the groups will be formed at the earliest.

During an interaction with Project Manager Mishraji, he said the work on Tower A will commence from August 2 as the 7-10 dedicated labor has arrived. Sand and cement for Tower A also arrived. Besides, there is a ready supply of excess tiles that can be used in Tower A with the fresh labor referred to above. These excess tiles can easily cover flats in 4 floors (approx. 32 flats).

That's one side of the coin. As I exited and came down from the first floor Antariksh office, I ran into Jha and Achin (permanent full time residents) in Tower F ground floor on a regular inspection tour on their own. I shared what Gulati-Mishraji told to me.

We walked down two floors below the ground floor of Tower F. We entered the "server room" at the basement which of course was empty. Noticed the server rack outside. My focus was on Tower A status as the builder has committed the work to commence from August first.

As we approached, Achin pointed to a nondescript brick wall and said, "That's our Clubhouse!" Wow! Time for celebration? On nearing Tower A, Achin quipped: "Look, possession of Tower A has begun." What he referred to was a cot with a red mosquito net on the first floor of Tower A visible from where we stood. The bedding of some labor it ought to be.

Jha said that the delay in the opening of the bank account for Tower A and sharing of account details with members as agreed upon is "strange".  In this digital age, you can open a current account from anywhere provided you have all documents, he pointed out. Yes, why the delay?

While I was about to pack up and leave, I met Sashidhar Pathak of Amar Ujala, a full-time resident of Antariksh, near the gate. Biting into the nimbu-applied buta (corn) proffered by Pathak, we heard his living experience at Antariksh over the past seven days. Nothing unusual.

Let me close this dispatch with a positive note: The lighted name board of Antariksh Golf Links, assembled with the Chinese LED in red color, is mounted. Golf  Links?  9 or 18 holes? Where is it? Yes, there is a Golf Course near the roundabout police chowk, 3 km away. The building board went up replacing the flex banner.  "Red" Letter Day, indeed!

Are things happening? Yes. Work is moving at Freight/Goods train  speed whereas we expect the speed of Mail/Express gaddi if not  the Rajdhani Express!

Hope to catch up with all on August 8 (Sunday) if there is a meeting with the Builder.
